You need to describle more. Before using $fpage=1 website how was website working ?
what was hidden?
if there any screenshot for each status, ftp, user admin to email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , it's so great!

I'm trying the same thing on the quickstart package.

When you set the "Disable the Frontpage" to NO from the template menu then the articles don't show on the rest of the site. The above hack works and fixes that.

But still, no configuration I made can make an article to apear on the front page - I mean setting it as a default home page on the home menu item.
