TOPIC: Not sure if modules and extensions installed

Not sure if modules and extensions installed 02 Apr 2013 21:58 #1881

Hi all

I would really appreciate any help you could give me.

I have just installed the JF viheria template in Joomla but am not sure if all the plugins and modules are installed too.

I installed the template by doing the following:

1. Downloaded the file jf_vihrea-25.zip
2.Uploaded and installed the entire zip file to joomla

I then tried to go in to the f_vihrea-25.zip on my computer to install any plugins / modules but could not find any other zip files to upload.

What should I do next? I am not sure if they are installed because the site still looks very bare. Are the plugins / modules included in the first installation of the zip file or do I have to install them individually? (please see screen shot attached).

I appreciate this is a very basic question but any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Hi there, what´s problem?
Did you check out the manual?

You have to install K2 Component in order to display correctly the articles.
There are no additional modules / plugins needed, it´s all built in already within the template.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I have checked the manual but when I go in to "module manager", none of the JF viheria modules are listed (bottom, copyright, social, font resize etc).

Any ideas of what I can do?

Thanks

I think you installed the template only!

1) You need to change the module positions like you can see in the manual or in the template params!
2) U need to install k2 component and create categories / items.
3) You need to create menu items and point them to k2 component category layout.

If you want the template 1:1 like in the demo area, you have to download the quickstart of jf Vihrea and install that!

Thanks I had tried the quick start but can not get it to work.

I am having problems following the manual. Could you please explain the steps 2,3 and 4 below? Please see my comments in capital letters.

1. Download quickstart version DONE
2. Unzip quickstart to your local PC and upload to remote- DONE
3. In your browser type the url where you copied the quickstart files followed by „/installation“ PLEASE EXPLAIN

Please explain step 3. The url where the quickstart files are saved is for example:
www.hipflask.co.uk/joomla16/templatevihrea

I have tried typing in:
www.hipflask.co.uk/joomla16/templatevihrea„/installation“
but this does not work and does not start the installation process. Is this correct? What should I do?

I apologise for annoying you over what is a very basic problem but please help.

Thank you

Mark

Hi. You can checkout this page on how to restore a Joomla Backup that uses Akeeba Backup Installer.
