BUT: "even if the article doesn't contain a break"

I want "read more" only if article have a break. Simple.

this feature is not built-in for joomla. we need to make customize. in this case you need to requestion a professional support to obtain your goal.

I have the same problem.
The "Readmore" button can not disable when the article is too short, the article doesn't contain a break.

I have a related problem:
I don't know how to change the link of "read more". It always redirects to the main page / "home" instead of the whole article.
Well, I even don't know how to break an article Is there a trick to it? Or do I have to do it "by hand", writing shorter articles and hyperlink it to the whole text?

It would be great, if anybody could help me

I may have a solution for your problem. I don't know the exact english designation, but I'll try to translate it.

You just have to type in a space character in the box for a user-defined name for "read more" (article options).

It's a bit improvised, but it worked.

readmeore go to home page and not work well.
