TOPIC: Can't install the JF Texturia template on Joomla

Can't install the JF Texturia template on Joomla 05 Jul 2012 16:18 #595

Hi everyone ! First of all, please excuse my approximative english, i'm french and i'm not that fluent in English.

I'm new on Joomla and i wanted to install the template JF Texturia. I tried to do this since yesterday but nothing seems to work with me.

First i installed Joomla 2.5 (it was okay) and i installed Texturia 1.7 (i didnt find a 2.5 version so, because i have read this template was compatible with all Joomla versions, i supposed that the 1.7 Texturia version was the good one). It was okay for the template zip, but all the modules (like the btslideshow) can't work : so i've got my website with the good template and CSS but a lot of elements was missing.

Then i retry the same operation without the "defaut contents" that we can install at the beginning of Joomla installation : same result.

So i decided to install the only Texturia 2.5 i've found : the quickstart 2.5. Even more strange : at the end of the installation, the homepage of the site was an 404 Error, installation folder was not removed, but administrator, cache, cli, and component were removed ! I tried to replace them by my FTP software, but they were once again removed, i don't know how !

So now i'm really lost. Could you tell me what you think of what i've done, and answer this little questions ?

1- To install Texturia : what version of Joomla can in use, and what file of Texturia i must download to install it on Joomla ? I don't find a 2.5 template !

2- Is the "defaut contents" an issue for the template installation ? Or they have no incidence on it ?

I'm sorry if you think that questions are stupid, but all i demand is to learn

Thank you a lot !

JFTP: :store: Bad response
Warning: Failed to move file!

Can i install a language with the quickstart version ? Is there a package that i can download ?

When you install success quickstart version, you can install package language normally ( in administrator ) . Please search google for guide ( "intall joomla package laguage" keyword).
