TOPIC: Blog - Author link cannot get activated

Blog - Author link cannot get activated 30 Jan 2013 09:16 #1624

I'm trying around for a while now to get in the category blog activated that not only the author is shown, also a link to him.
The options "show link to author" is set in the article settings, as well in the menu settings. Also a contact is created and linked with the user.

I also tried a 3rd party plugin, which should show more details per author. But when activated it shows only the link as text.
Is there maybe a bug in the template.

I had a longer look around to find the neccessary php file. I found, in my opinion the right (./components/com_content/views/category/tmpl/blog_item.php). But if I change the part where the author link is created, nothing happens.

Any idea what could be wrong?
