Thank you for this template.

There is a module position for CONTENT BOTTOM...but there's not one for CONTENT_TOP.

How can I include a position for the top of the articles?

You can add a new module position.
In the templateDetails.xml file, add:
 
<positions>
...
<position>top-content</position>
</positions>
 

In template file index.php, add below code to where you want to show.
