You need create a menu item, in modules slideshow and virtuemart don't select this page to show these modules.

Yes, I deactivated modules like "Slideshow", "VM Products", etc., from the "Login / Register" page (I have created this page by adding a new menu item type > "Login", in main menu).
In "Login / Register" page these modules (slideshow, VM products) don't appear, and this is good.

The problem is with the new menu item type called "Login". This type of menu is Joomla based, and it don't permit to show the Virtuemart custom registration field at the start of the customer registration process.

I want to show at the beginning of the customer registration process, the Virtuemart fields like Address, Nation, City, ZIP code, etc. I saw that if you use this url: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user it's possible to do this, but the problem is that I can't turn off modules like "Slideshow", "VM Products", etc., because this module is displayed inside the home page.

How can I change this url registration path: "YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php?option=com_users&view=registration"

to this one:

"YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user" ?

I want to apply this customization to the menu item type called "Login", created in "main menu", or exists a customizable menu item where I can use a specific url path?

Thank you

I have solved

I have created a new menu item in main menu, and choosed type "System menu items" > "external URL", and in the "Link" field I have added: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user

Now when the customer click on "Login / Register" menu, he can see the login form and the registration form without the slideshow module, and VM modules.
When the customer is logged in can see and modify all the datas that he had filled.

There's only a little problem, when the new customer send a registration, the redirect page is the "home", where it's showed the slideshow and at the bottom of the page "check your email for confirmation link".
I want to try to make this message visible in a pop-up window, because it's important that the new user can see it.

is there a way to view these messages in pop-up windows?

Thank you

I checked on my local, after registration the redirect page isn't the "home". I'm on current page (registration page) with message Registration completed.

I just checked, and this is the workflow:

1. Customer register it self from: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user ;

2. A message advise the customer to check the email to confirm his account. Customer click on the confirmation link, and is redirected to: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php/component/users/?view=login a login page where the customer can login;

3. Customer login with username and password, and is redirected to: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php/component/users/profile an empty home page with account resume (see the picture attached).

I want to change the behaviour of point 3, I want to send the customer at: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user (the url at point 1). How can I doing this? there's a redirect manage in Joomla? or what file I need to modify to changing this behaviour?

Thank you

Check all your menu items, make sure no link to com_users. And don't choose type "System menu items" > "external URL", you should choose type "VirtueMart -> Account Maintenance".

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. I have checked all my menu items, and I don't have menu items with a link to "com_users" pages.

I have changed the menu type for login area, FROM "System menu items" > "external URL", TO "VirtueMart -> Account Maintenance"; but the proble still remain the same as you can see in this picture: cdn.joomfreak.com/media/kunena/attachmen...unt_confirmation.PNG

After the registration, a message advise the customer to check the email to confirm his account. The customer click on the confirmation link, and is redirected to: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php/component/users/?view=login a login page where the customer can login; then the customer can login with username and password, and is redirected to: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php/component/users/profile an empty home page with account resume showed in the picture.

I want to change this behaviour after the first login I want to send the customer at: YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user

Thank you
