Once installated the template with kickstart, the site was visible only to the address www.site.it/en while the home page www.site.it remained the default page of hosting. Thank for your help

Try to install Italian language and set it is default language.

I've tried and I've Italian set as the default language, but the home page is that of hosting. I also tried to install Italian as content languages, and now I see the site www.site.it/it but I need to see www.site.it of course thank you

Try to disable System - Language Filter plugin and Language Switcher module.
