TOPIC: Portfolio Links to subcategories

Portfolio Links to subcategories 13 May 2014 22:38 #4651

Hi,

I have searched the forum but cannot see an answer to this question...

I have a portfolio, with several sub-categories (much like the demo version) - but would like to link directly from a page to the portfolio but filtered to a subcategory.

Is there a url parameter that will allow me to directly link to one of the subcategories in a portfolio?

Thanks

Hello,
You try link
http://your-domain/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&layout=category&task=category&id=1

id is category id (in k2)
Wish you success

Thanks, that just about works... however I would prefer to get to the main portfolio page so I still have the navigation of all the sub-categories and have it filtered to one of the sub categories (depending on the url clicked on the previous page).

I have found some info on creating some custom javascript, so that the isotope will filter from a different page, just got to get it working... I don't touch javascript often.

Thanks, Matt
