If you need to put a slideshow of multiple pictures in the slideshow module you should install a slideshow module that can show multiple pictures and publish it in "slideshow" position

This thread was originally started on June 20th and only received a response today. I think the original posters to this thread did do a thorough enough search to eliminate the possiblity of a duplicate thread. Can't say the same for the poster of the thread you referred us to.

If you need a slider gallery in the slideshow position you need a slider gallery fullscreen module....
You can use download and install jf slideshow module or browse on extensions.joomla.org. If you want to keep the current module and use it as slideshow you have to develop it or ask professional support.
