I have new joomla install 3.4.3, I tried to install creativia quickstart but got following error,

JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.

Error
Unable to find install package

what can I try ?

I only see "Use Default"

Did you install from backend of joomla?
Try to install follow this:
1. Unzip quickstart to your local PC and upload to remote
2. In your browser type the url where you copied the quickstart files followed by „/installation“
3. Set configuration.php to chmod „777“ (set it back to 444 when installation is finished!)
4. Follow the installation instructions and check the folder permissions
5. Insert your site database info and restore quickstart sql backup
6. Insert your site title, personal information email etc.
7. Insert your administrator username, password & email
8. Finish installation and remove „installation“ directory
9. You are done =) you can now call the site url

Thanks, after reading the documentation, and your reply I was not doing this correctly at all.

My understanding is that quickstart, is basically a full joomla installation, that has been modified with your template, and data. After installing this, what state should the site be in?

I thought that the site should now be close to what your demo looks like, so I could see how pages and items were constructed. But I see just the basic font page , and no pages. Do I still have to construct the site myself?

After installing quickstart version, your site looks like our demo. You don't have to construct the site.

It took a couple of attempts, I got to the Akeeba backup/restore, and got the creativia demo live now (it complained about php version, but site looks good, except for the portfolio items). The portfolio items are outputting
