You can edit file templates/jf_taman/html/com_k2/portfolio/item.php:

<a class="modal" rel="{handler: 'image'}" href="<?php echo $this->item->imageXLarge; ?>" title="<?php echo JText::_('K2_CLICK_TO_PREVIEW_IMAGE'); ?>">
...
</a>

modify:
$this->item->imageXLarge
to:
$this->item->imageLarge or $this->item->imageMedium
