TOPIC: URL and Repeating Module Occurrence

URL and Repeating Module Occurrence 04 Jul 2013 13:41 #2352

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice about how to lose the 'components/k2/' in the URL, I've looked in forums but hit a stumbling block. NONE of them give a straight answer.

Also, I have created a k2 category with 5 items in it. But, when I click to read an article it still displays the category in the position 'latest' - anyone know why?

I havent fully set up my menu structure but it should appear when I click through to a item.

Also also, Does this template have to used k2 for it to work? I appear to be having too many problems with k2, and im really not a fan.

If anyone can help I'd be ever so grateful.

Hi mattb, the template uses k2.
Did you check out the manual?

We suggest to use quickstart if you encounter problems in building up your site.
Bye

Aye, I did check out the manual and that was no help at all, RE - the URL problem.

I tried uploading the quickstart and that doesn't seem to be Joomla! - Which is vital to the build cause we have a table booking service to plug-in to the site.

I am quite advanced in joomla, but I just cant get the hang of this k2.

Also, is it vital that you have k2 installed for this template to work.

Hi, the quickstart cannot be uploaded to joomla. it´s a own "Joomla installation".
That means you got to extract the whole quickstart in a different folder, make a new database. this way, after installing the whole quickstart you will have the same joomla installation like you can see in our demo area.

if you install only the template, you have to work step-by-step.
K2 is not vital for the template to work, but all overwrites have been done for k2 Component.

Yeah, so, I uploaded and installed the quick start, but there was no admin behind it... I was a bit confused as to what to do with it.

Could you please elaborate on --
"if you install only the template, you have to work step-by-step.
K2 is not vital for the template to work, but all overwrites have been done for k2 Component.".

Regards.

Please learn how to install a quickstart version in Joomla first
