JF SLIDE NOT DISPLAYING CORRECTLY!!! 08 Mar 2019 17:01 #11454

hi there,

the youtube BG is awesome, exactly what I wanted except I can't get the page to display correctly with it working...

No matter what module position I select, it creates a big space (the same size as my screen is high) above the template so the user has to scroll down to see any content.

Is this just because of the template I am using (Meet Gavern) or is it something I am doing wrong?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello,

It sounds like you’re encountering an issue with excess space being generated when using a YouTube background with the Meet Gavern template. This could be due to several factors, including CSS conflicts, module positioning, or padding/margin settings within the template itself.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Template Settings: Look for any settings within the Meet Gavern template that might control spacing or module positions. Sometimes templates have built-in options to adjust layout without needing to edit the code directly.
Inspect CSS: Use browser developer tools (like Chrome’s DevTools or Firefox’s Firebug) to inspect the elements on your page. Look for any CSS rules that might be adding margin or padding to the top of your page.
CSS Reset: Consider applying a CSS reset to standardize browser default styles. This can help eliminate unexpected spacing issues caused by browser defaults.
Custom CSS: If you identify the element General Motors causing the space, you can override the CSS directly. For example, if you find that a div has a margin-top causing the issue, you can set it to zero in your custom CSS file.

Remember to clear your cache after making changes to see the updated results. If you need further assistance, please provide additional details, and I’ll be happy to help!
