TOPIC: Problem changing the template's background image

Problem changing the template's background image 13 Jan 2014 02:40 #3645

Hello, first of all really THANKS for building a so cool template =) it's wonderful!
I also love your background image but I preferred changing it with another one.
So I uploaded mine with FileZilla on the same folder of the image of the template, and then i found by Joomla the position of the CSS attribute that I had to change:

the css file is css/template.css

and the part to change was:

/* SLIDESHOW */
#jf-slideshow {
background-clip: border-box;
background-color: #00446D;
background-image: url(../images/banner.jpg);
background-origin: padding-box;
background-position: center center;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: cover;
background-attachment: fixed;
position: relative;
z-index: 50;
}

I changed banner.jpg with translateb.jpg, my picture, that was in the SAME folder. I save the changes and it seems all ok, but when I look at the website... STILL the picture of before. I also tried to change the link of the picture, but nothing.

Can you help me with this? Ah, sorry for my poor english I'm italian!

Thanks again,
Diego

Finally it changed! I don't know how, maybe the CSS employed some minutes to take the effect, because now i have the background that I needed.

I also tried to change to black the color of the central writing but it keeps being white, so I would like to know why when i change something on the css it keeps staying like i didn't make changes?

My website is www.dieguitoinsignito.it , thanks for your help!

Hi, you can do that in
templates/jf_calla-exteriors/css/template.css

Find ...
#jf-slideshow .main {
color: #fff;
}

Change to ...
#jf-slideshow .main {
color: #000;
}

Bye!

Hi and thank you for the answer!
I did what you said even before, but it seems that changes that I do on CSS don't take effect on the website.. so I tried to put a change directly on the xhtml but like before, no results why it happens?

I've solved it, it was a problem of the cache and cookies of my browser, i had to delete them because every change I was making on the css page wasn't present. Thank you!
