How to float the footer elements, I would like to have 3 columns next to each other ? please help!

Then add style into template.css:
 
.footer .footer1, .footer .footer2 {
	float: left;
	width: 50%;
	text-align: center;
}

I can´t get this working , can you send me the index.php and css file ready written with 3 floating module postions for the footer please.

need help asap, very thankfull for help!!
