TOPIC: best aspect ratio?

best aspect ratio? 23 Feb 2015 09:45 #6283

JF Slideshow is becoming an important part of my website that i am building. I am verry pleased with the extension, only thing i am missing is a simple transition effect from left to right but i will surive without that. A real issue i am having is finding the best aspect ratio for my images, wich will have the best result on different screens. When testing my website now on different machines i com across some problems where more than a half part of my image disappears because the ratio of my images is not suited for this screen resolution.

I understand it will never be perfect on every computer with a different screen resolution but can someone give a direction to me how i can make the images suitable for the most viewers possible?

I allready found, by extending my max height i can avoid images being cut of on small resolutions. Now just hoping to find out what the max height is on joomfreak.com/demo site where images that are 1920 x 548 pixels When i know this i can make a reversed calculation on what my max height should be?
